Minister for Medical Education Taj Mohi-ud-Din Tuesday turned down the reports of rift within the state Congress and said that the party is united.

Talking to a local news agency, KNS he said, “There might be some differences but whenever election time comes we get united. Minor differences are in all the political parties as that is the part of democracy.”

“Leveling allegations in public harms party interests. But let me tell you that Congress is united and there is no rift. The graph of Congress is picking up day by day as the party is people friendly,” he said. “I am sure than Congress will gain its tally in 2014 elections.”

Asked to comment whether Congress will go into alliance with the National Conference in 2014 assembly elections, he said, “It is premature to comment on this at the moment. At an appropriate time, Congress high command will take a decision regarding the issue.”
