Valley’s business community met here at Taj Vivanta to discuss ways and means to promote economic sectors in the State.

According to KNS, the meeting was called by Kashmir Economic Alliance (KEA) in which prominent businessmen participated.

The businessmen resolved to work together to pressurize state government for trade-friendly policies.

The businessmen pointed out “large scale corruption” as the reason which discourages young entrepreneurs from venturing into business.

Chairman Hoteliers Club Mushtaq Chaya said they will support all the initiatives for the promotion of the trade. “Business sectors have numerous problems which need to be resolved gradually by taking up the one by one with the state authorities,” he said.

He further said: “We should not leave any stone unturned to get our problems resolved. We should ensure that government takes us on board while formulating any policy for the trade. Unless and until trade bodies participate in the decision making in the government, the trade won’t move ahead.”

On this occasion KEA chairman M Yasin Khan said that they would ask government to take the business community on board before finalizing any decision regarding the trade.
