SRINAGAR

Amid the speculations over his resignation from Huriyat (JK), senior separatist leader Shabir Ahmad Shah Thursday said after the return of Hurriyat (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani, modalities of a ‘grand alliance’ between the pro-freedom parties would be discussed.

“I have already said that there is coordination between our party and Huriyat led by Syed Ali Geelani. The talks got suspended due the occurrence of floods in September last year and then Geelani sahib left for New Delhi. Now when he has returned, we expect serious breakthrough in coming days,” Shah told KNS.

He maintained that he has a dream that all the likeminded pro-freedom parties should come together so that the objective could be achieved with the unanimous efforts. “I am working on it and soon we will be able to break some ice.”
