Army on Sunday handed over three persons to police, who were held last evening during their return from Pakistan administered Kashmir to this side of Line of Control (LoC).

Official sources had told GNS that army’s 5/5 launched a search operation following the suspicious movement near the Jabdi forest area. During the search operation, three persons who had allegedly crossed the LoC were found without arms and ammunitions.

A police official said that army arrested the three persons while crossing LoC and they accordingly handed them to Tanghdar police station today morning.

The official identified the trio as Mohammad Ashraf Lone son of Late Sultan Lone of Hajinar, Karnah, Fayaz Ahmad Malik son of Abdul Jabbar of Kralpora and Mohammad Ramzan Mir of Naidkhai Bala, Bandipora.

He said that a case has been registered in this regard and further investigations have been taken up.
