SRINAGAR: In an unfortunate incident in the Baramulla district of north Kashmir, a young girl has reportedly been subjected to a heinous act of rape.
As per sources, a teacher has been apprehended on allegations of sexually assaulting a ninth-grade student in the Zaloora area of Sopore.
The victim’s family filed a First Information Report (FIR) against the accused, prompting the Jammu Kashmir Police to take him into custody.
A spokesperson for the police while speaking to Kashmir Life confirmed that an FIR has been registered, invoking the relevant sections of the law to address this grievous offense.
