A teen age boy has been killed during clashes between local protesters and forces in Tral area of Pulwama following the encounter in which three militants were killed.

As per sources in SMHS hospital Srinagar, the youth identified as Younis Ahmad Sheikh, 16, from Saimoh Tral was brought in serious condition after he was hit by hundreds of pellets in the chest.

He could not be saved, hospital sources said. “It seems a full cartridge of pellets has been fired on him,” a medic at SMHS hospital told Kashmir Life.

At least twelve other protesters have received pellet injuries, reports reaching here said.

Intense clashes erupted between civilian protesters and forces in Tral town after gunfight started between militants and government forces in Gulab Bagh village of the area.
In the encounter, three militants killed,  later identified as, Zahid Ahmed Bhat from Nawdal Tral, Ishfaq Ahmed from Batgund Tral and Ashraf Dar from Trich Pulwama.
