Police arrested dozens of temporary teachers who were protesting to press for their demands in Lal Chowk on Tuesday.
Hundreds of temporary teachers, under the banner of Temporary Teachers Association, assembled in the Press Enclave and started slogans in favour of their demands.
Amid slogans of “We want Continuation” the protesting temporary teachers tried to block the busy residency road however police swung into action and arrested dozens of protesting teachers.
The temporary teachers are on a protesting path since some weeks. They demand the continuation of their jobs.
The protesting teachers said, “we were given jobs last year after a Cabinet order 182 for session 2013-2014. but after just two months, we were disengaged.”
