A 25-year-old Srinagar girl who has been diagnosed with Relapse Acute Myeloid Leukemia (A type of Blood Cancer), is currently undergoing treatment at Rajiv Gandhi cancer institute New Delhi under CR Number 198787. She was first diagnosed in April 2015.
Since then her family has spent a considerable amount on her treatment. At present, Sana is undergoing blood transfusion on alternate days costing her Rs 25,000 per dose. Sana, an orphan, is survived by her old-age mother and a young sister. Doctors have prescribed her to undergo systematic cycles of Chemotherapy followed by Allogenic Stem Cell Transplant which costs Rs 15 to 20 Lacs.
