Three Arrested As Police Bust Alleged Sex Racket In Jammu and Kashmir

   

SRINAGAR: Three persons were arrested after police claimed to have busted an alleged sex racket operating from a house in the Akhnoor area of Jammu district, officials said.

Police said the raid was conducted at a house in Ward No. 2, Kashmiri Mohalla, Akhnoor, following specific information about alleged immoral trafficking activities.

During the operation, police arrested three persons identified as Ravi Gupta, the house owner and resident of Ward No. 2 Akhnoor; Sarishta Devi, a resident of Chowki Choura Akhnoor; and Sahil Sharma, a resident of Sungal Akhnoor.

A case under FIR No. 164/2026 has been registered at Police Station Akhnoor under relevant sections of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956, police said.

Officials said further investigation is underway to identify others allegedly involved and ascertain the extent of the activities.

Police said action against immoral trafficking and organised crimes will continue in the district.
