Three civilians including a lady were killed after government forces opened fire on protesters during clashes in Hawoora village of Redwani area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam District on Saturday.

Official sources said that government forces entered the village to lay cordon and search operation in the area.

However, youth in large number came out on the streets and hurled stones on the vehicles of the forces who retaliated with firing resulting in death of three civilians and several others sustained injuries.

Hospital sources confirmed the death of three civilians namely Shakir Ahmad 22, Irshad Majeed  20 and a girl Andleeb 16, all residents of Hawoora village of Redwani.
