Three Gambler’s Arrested in South Kashmir Raid: Police

   

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police in South Kashmir’s Pampore arrested three gamblers along with the recovery of stake money from them during a raid on Thursday.

Acting on reliable information regarding the gambling activities at Doninad, a police party of Police Station Pampore raided the location and arrested the gamblers.

Police official in a statement said, ” they have been identified as Mohammad Ashraf Bahroo son of Mohammad Maqbool, Aqib Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Rahman Dar and Abdul Majeed Wani son of Abdul Aziz Wani all residents of Doninad Pampore”.

“Stake money of ₹27,770, playing cards have also been recovered from their possession”, statement reads.

Accordingly, case FIR No. 74/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Pampore and investigation has been initiated.

Persons found indulging in criminal activities shall be dealt with as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with the local Police units, statement further reads.
