SRINAGAR: Police in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district have traced three minor boys who went missing from Tulmulla and reunited them with their respective families following a 10-day search operation.
Police said the boys were located at Daund Railway Station in Pune, Maharashtra, on September 9 with the assistance of Maharashtra Police.
The case was taken up after Hamza Bin Yousuf, son of Mohammad Yousuf Ganie of Tulmulla, submitted a written complaint at Police Station Kheerbhawani on September 3, reporting that three minor boys were missing.
Police subsequently registered a case under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and launched an investigation to establish the whereabouts of the children.
During the investigation, police teams used technical and human intelligence along with other investigative inputs to track the minors. A dedicated team was deployed to locate them and ensure their safe return.
Following sustained efforts and coordination with Maharashtra Police, all three boys were traced at Daund Railway Station. They were brought back to Ganderbal and, after completion of the required formalities, handed over to their respective families.
Ganderbal Police credited the coordinated efforts of the personnel involved in the operation, including the inter-state cooperation that facilitated the safe recovery of the children.
