Jammu and Kashmir police on Tuesday arrested three persons with nearly fourteen lac rupees demonetized notes in Srinagar, said spokesman.
Giving details, spokesman said that“Police Station Nigeen during a surprise naka checking at Ashai-bagh in Srinagar apprehended three persons namely Bashir Ahmad Khan son of Mohd Sultan resident of Batamaloo, Showket Ahmad Bhat son of Ghulam Mohammad resident of Pampore & Bashir Ahmad Bhat son of Ghulam Qadir resident of Panthachowk Srinagar.”
“Demonetized currency of Rs. 1363500 (Thirteen Lacs, Sixty three thousands & Five hundred) was recovered from their possession,” he added.
