SRINAGAR: Authorities on Thursday demolished three illegally constructed shops in the Channigam area of Frisal in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district as part of an intensified drive against the narcotics network.
Officials said the operation was jointly conducted by Kulgam Police and the civil administration, targeting properties allegedly linked to drug-related activities.
They added that the structures belonged to an individual booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and were raised without the required land-use permissions from the competent authorities.
Authorities further stated that the anti-narcotics campaign will continue across the district, warning that strict action will be taken against those involved in the drug trade as well as illegal constructions in violation of established regulations.
