SRINAGAR: At least three persons were injured after an ambulance collided with a car in Mawar in Handwara of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

An Ambulance (108) bearing registration number JK02BS 0717 and a Santro DL 10C 2087 collided near Grameen Bank Qalamabad, resulting in injuries to the three persons.

The trio was immediately evacuated from the site to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The injured persons have been identified as Irshad Ahmad Peer (35) son of Mohammad Hussain Peer, resident of Yahama Muqam; Iqbal Ahmad Sood (21), son of Mohammad Shareef Sood, resident of Boniyar Baramulla and Mohammad Shafi Ganie (35) son of Habibullah Ganie resident of Trehgam.

Police official said that they have taken cognisance into the incident. (GNS)
