Three Killed in Fresh Indo-Pak Frontier Shelling

Three civilians were killed while one sustained injuries as India Pakistan Friday renewed firing exchange in Poonch sector along LOC.

The deceased civilians from Pakistani side include a 12-year old girl, Laiba Shabbir, 55-year old Sufi Amin, and a 19-year old boy, Zahid, who died due to “unprovoked” shelling by the Indian army, Pakistani media quoted officials saying.

Official speculated that the number of casualties could be higher, but due to continued Indian firing, the administration was unable to ascertain details from the vulnerable areas.

Meanwhile, in Balakote sector of Poonch district, a civilian identified as Muhammad Ashraf, son of Gul Muhammad Bheroti of Basooni village, was seriously injured in Pakistan shelling in Balakote sector today, police said.

They said that indiscriminate shelling and firing started from Pakistan side at 6.30 a.m. on Friday and was still going on.
