SRINAGAR: Counter-insurgent forces that had detained a 5-member family during wee hours in south Kashmir has set free three of them, local news gatherer KNT said.

Early morning reports said a mixed column of counter-insurgent forces had launched a cordon and search operation in the Bonmohalla Wahibugh area of Pulwama. Those detained included a young female.

The KNT said three members including the girl and the child have been set free after questioning while the head of the family and his son are still being questioned.
