Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested three militant associates in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

A police spokesman in a statement said that acting on specific information, Police in Budgam arrested three militant associates linked to proscribed outfit HM.

“They have been identified as Amir Shafi Dar, Shabir Ahmed Ganie, both residents of Chadoora and Mudasir Ahmed Khan resident of Pulwama,” said the spokesman.

“As per police records they are involved in assisting active militants of proscribed outfit HM operating in the areas of Budgam. As per the investigations, they were providing logistic support and shelter to the active militants of HM,” he said.

“Incriminating materials including arms and ammunition have been recovered from their possession,” he added.

“Case under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Chadoora and further investigation in the matter is in progress,” said a police spokesman in a statement.
