SRINAGAR: Three militants were killed in an encounter with counter-insurgent forces at Badigam area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday.

An official said that three militants were killed so far in the ongoing encounter at Badigam village.
The identity and the affiliations of the slain militants could not be ascertained immediately.
Earlier, a police spokesman said a gunfight broke out between militants and forces in Badigam village in Shopian.
