Three youth arrested in Teetwal near LoC

Three youth were apprehended by the army on Saturday late evening along the Line of Control (LoC) at Seemari in Teetwal area of Tangdar in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, sources said today.

An official said that three persons were apprehended by army’s 17 Bihar while infiltrating from Pakistan side at Seemari Teetwal yesterday late in the evening.

He identified them as Wakeel Ahmad Dar, Sajjad Ahmad Khawaja, and Mohd Shafi Bhat all residents of Bankoot Bandipora.

The officer, however, said that after being searched no arms and ammunition was recovered from their possession.

“Mobile phones, some Pakistani Currency etc has been recovered from their possession,” he added.

The trio, according to the police officer had crossed LoC last year for arms and ammunition training.

“A case has been registered under FIR number 69/2018 under section 69/2018 under section 2/3 E & IMCO and 13 ULA Act,” an official said.
