In view of closing of Durbar move offices in Jammu on April 24 & 25, govt Wednesday decided to permit only up convoys—from Jammu to Srinagar—on April 24, 25, 2015.
“No down convoy—from Srinagar to Jammu—shall be permitted on the said dates,” the govt said. “Army and paramilitary forces convoys shall also not be allowed to ply from Srinagar to Jammu on the said dates.”
Similarly, it has been decided to permit up convoys—from Jammu to Srinagar—on May 3&4, 2015 to facilitate the smooth movement of vehicles carrying Durbar move employees from Jammu to Srinagar as the offices are opening at Srinagar on May 5, 2015.
“No down traffic from Srinagar to Jammu including the convoys of Army/Para-Military forces shall be permitted to ply on the said dates, under any circumstances,” the govt said.
Pertinently, traffic police has made elaborate arrangements for smooth movement of convoys consisting of Durbar move vehicles carrying important records and other related items etc.
