Tourism Will Bounce Back Soon, Says CM’s Advisor

   

SRINAGAR: Nasir Aslam Wani, Advisor to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, on Saturday said the Jammu and Kashmir government is committed to reviving the tourism sector, expressing confidence that it will recover soon.

Speaking to reporters after a review meeting in Kupwara, the Advisor said they are working to rebuild the confidence of tourists. He added that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is personally monitoring the situation, visiting key locations and engaging with stakeholders to restore trust in the Valley’s tourism potential.

He expressed optimism about the return of visitors, stating that confidence-building measures are already showing results. “It will soon be on track,” he said.

In response to a query regarding the government’s promise of free electricity to AAY category households, the Advisor said the process has been initiated. “Implementation has started, and the benefits will reach the deserving soon,” he said.

He also said that the sectors of Health, Education, Roads, and Sports were extensively reviewed during the meeting. “We are committed to improving all key sectors. Development will be visible on the ground,” he added. (KNO)
