SRINAGAR: Authorities have directed taxi stands, hotels, restaurants, and guest houses in Pahalgam to adopt uniforms and nameplates for staff members interacting with tourists, marking a significant move aimed at enhancing professionalism and visitor experience in the area.

In a directive issued by the Chief Executive Officer Pahalgam, taxi operators are specifically instructed to wear green uniforms and keep jute bags in their taxis for collecting unwanted items.

The advisory underscores the importance of professionalism in the tourist trade, emphasizing the need to exceed visitor expectations and ensure customer satisfaction at every touchpoint. Staff members are expected to uphold professionalism, courtesy, and respect while interacting with tourists.

Following a unanimous decision made in a meeting of tourist trade stakeholders, all service providers in Pahalgam will implement uniforms and nameplates for staff members directly engaging with tourists. This collective decision reflects a commitment to professionalism and efficiency, aiming to provide a seamless experience for tourists.
