The restriction will apply to the marathon route stretching from BSF Headquarters, Maddar Bandipora, to NHPC Pethkote and back to Chewa via Kangrichowk and Wular Vantage Road.

Traffic Police has advised motorists to avoid the affected stretch during the notified hours and use designated alternative routes to facilitate the smooth conduct of the event.

Under the traffic plan, vehicles travelling towards Srinagar from Gurez, Bandipora town and Bandipora Bus Stand will be diverted through the Bandipora-Sopore road, with traffic moving in the opposite direction following the same route.

Srinagar-bound traffic heading towards Bandipora and Gurez will be routed through Narbal, Pattan, Sopore and Bandipora.

Traffic between Ganderbal and Bandipora will be diverted via Sumbal, Naidkhai, Sopore and Bandipora in both directions.

The advisory urged commuters to plan their journeys accordingly and cooperate with traffic personnel deployed for the event.

The third edition of the Wular Ultra Run is scheduled to be held on October 4, with multiple race categories covering areas around Bandipora and Wular.
