Traffic Resumes on Mughal Road After Snow and Landslide Clearance

   

SRINAGAR: Following the clearance of snow and landslides along the Bufliaz to Peer Ki Gali stretch (43.6 km) under NH-701A, the Mughal Road has reopened for single-lane vehicular traffic from today.

According to an order issued by the Deputy Commissioner Poonch, the road from Bufliaz to Peer Ki Gali has reopened today.

This step was taken after communications from the Chief Engineer, Project Sampark, and the Officer Commanding 79 RCC (GREF), dated April 14 and April 13 respectively.

To ensure smooth and safe movement, the order directs the Senior Superintendent of Police Poonch, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Surankote, and Deputy Superintendent of Traffic Rajouri-Poonch to deploy adequate personnel at Behramgalla, Bufliaz, and Poshana checkposts.

They will enforce strict compliance with the movement schedule and safety protocols. (JKNS)
