SRINAGAR: Train services in Kashmir have been resumed on Monday after remaining suspended for at least 11 months since March 2020.

After remaining suspended for 11 months the train service connecting Baramulla with Banihal resumed on Monday, February 22, 2021.

A senior railway official told Kashmir Life that train service was resumed on Monday morning in the valley.

He said that a train chugged between Baramulla and Banihal Monday morning. “The train made only two trips on the stretch,” he said.

On Sunday, the Railways had conducted a trial run of the service on the stretch for the first time in over eleven months.
