Train service was on Saturday suspended as a precautionary measure in the Kashmir valley following shutdown call by Joint Resistance Leadership on R-Day.
“We have suspended all train runs in the Kashmir valley after an advisory was received last night from police,” an official said.
He said, therefore, no train will run on Budgam-Srinagar- Islamabad -Qazigund in south Kashmir to Banihal in Jammu region for security reasons. Similarly, no train will chug on Srinagar-Budgam-Baramulla in north Kashmir track.
The official said railway authorities are acting on the advice of local administration.
