SRINAGAR: Train services were suspended on Thursday after a truck rolled onto the railway track at Qazigund.
“A truck bearing registration number JK02AT-5895 rolled down a cutting at km 167/10-11 between Banihal and Qazigund (Hiller) and landed on the track. Soon after the incident, train services were halted and clearance work began. Train operations have remained suspended since early morning,” officials said.
“Machinery was deployed at the site, but due to the truck’s weight, it could not be removed. We have now sought assistance from the Army to help clear the track.”
Train services will remain suspended until the truck is removed from the track. (KNO)
