Train service remained suspended for the fourth consecutive day on Sunday across Kashmir following repair the damaged track at many places from Srinagar to Islamabad.

An official from the railway department Srinagar said that engineers are working to restore the damaged lines and other infrastructures between Srinagar and Islamabad and they are hopeful of restarting the service at the earliest.

The official added that the work has been started on both tracks, the damage led to the suspension of the service.

“It is premature to say the exact date to resume; it will be decided today evening whether to resume the service on tomorrow or not,” the official said, adding till now we have not received any order to resume the service.
