SHOPIAN: The District Election Officer Shopian Manzoor Ahmad Qadri on Tuesday convened a meeting at Mini Secretariat Shopian and held threadbare discussion for the smooth conduct of Elections for Islamabad Parliamentary Constituency.
The meeting was apprised that identification of staff to be deputed for election duties has been completed. The DEO impressed upon the concerned officers to prepare online database of these employees.
He asked the nodal officer for Manpower Management and Training to devise the training programme for these officials. He said that training would be organised on March 15 and 16 and services of master trainers would be utilised for this purpose.
It was enjoined upon the concerned to map the vulnerable and hypersensitive polling stations in the district so that foolproof security and transportation plan could be finalised.
He directed the assistant returning officers to constitute video surveillance teams in their respective jurisdictions for overall monitoring of campaigns and rallies.
The meeting was attended by ADC, ACR, ACD, Returning Officers and other concerned officers and official.
