Following the rumours of the killing of a Hizb militant at Aripal Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, thousands of the people who were trying to march towards the gunfight site were chased away by government forces by resorting to aerial firing.
Reports said that people from various villages of Tral were trying to march towards the encounter site, and forces resorted to aerial firing to chase away them.
Earlier, the gunfight raged in Aripal village of Tral, however, there are no immediate reports of the causalities from either site till now. Meanwhile, the internet services are suspended in the district and a complete shutdown is being observed in Tral and in parts of Pulwama district.
