One militant has been killed in the ongoing encounter which broke out between militants and government forces in Arampora area of Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Reports said that a joint team of army’s 42RR, 180 BN CRPF, and SOG Awantipora launched cordon and search operation in Arampora after having credible input about the presence of some militants in the area.
As soon a joint team of forces intensified searches towards suspected spot the hiding militants fired upon government forces triggering an encounter.
As per the sources, one militant has been killed and the identity of the slain militant was not immediately known.
Intermittent exchange of fire was on when this report was being filed.(GNS)
