Tral town of Pulwama district in south Kashmir is observing a complete shutdown on second consecutive day today on Sunday to mourn the killing of a Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militant in a gunfight with forces on Friday.
Local sources said that all the shops and business establishments are shut while traffic is also off the roads.
Notably, a Jaish-e-Muhammad militant, whom the police identified as Anwar of Pakistani origin, was killed in during a day-long gunfight with government forces in Darganaie Gund village of Tral on Friday after a joint team of police, CRPF, and army cordoned the village. In the gunfight, one policeman had also sustained injuries.
