SRINAGAR: Family, friends and political activists of slain boy Tufail Mattoo were seen at his grave to offer special prayers on his seventh death anniversary. The only son of his parents, his killing was the main trigger of the 2010 unrest and interestingly the family is yet to get justice.

On Sunday, the family and various political activists including Javed Mir were seen praying at his grave in Eidgah. Fathers of Tufail and another teenager boy Wamiq Farooq were also there. Wamiq was killed during the initial days of 2010 unrest.

At a small function in the graveyard, reports said, various leaders lamented the failure of the government in delivering justice to the family. Mattos have been fighting for justice for last seven years and all their efforts have been frustrated by the systems in police and prosecution.

After the function was over, there was rush of mourners at the Matoo’s residence, reports said.
