Ten youth sustained injuries during the clashes between the youth and government forces near the encounter site in Turkawangam village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Wednesday.

Reports said that youth took to streets and clashed with the forces to disrupt the anti-militant operation.

Hospital sources from Zainapora said that they received 10 injured with bullets and pellets.

Earlier, four civilian youth were hit by bullets after militants and government forces exchanged heavy firing in Turkewangam village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.

Sources said that Innayat Ahmad, a local was among four youth hit by a bullet in the chest and was immediately shifted to Pulwama hospital where from he was referred to Srinagar in critical condition.
