Two Army personnel were killed on Monday as Pakistani troops allegedly pounded Indian army positions with mortars and machine guns in Gurez sector in Kashmir along the Line of Control (LoC).
“The Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire by opening firing in Gurez sector at 12.30pm which lasted till 2:00 PM,” an Army spokesperson said here.
He said two army men were killed in the alleged firing by Pakistani troops, who used automatic rifles, machine guns and mortars to target the Indian posts.
“Our troops responded to the unprovoked aggression in equal measure,” he added.
