SRINAGAR : Police have arrested two persons and recovered 53 stolen copper utensils in connection with a house theft case in Chandoosa area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

A case was registered at Police Station Chandoosa on August 9 after a complaint was received regarding the theft of copper utensils from a house in Nilsar.
During the course of investigation, police questioned Isaaq Aziz Khan, son of Abdul Aziz Khan, a resident of Nilsar, who allegedly disclosed his involvement in the theft.
Police said the stolen property was subsequently recovered from a concealed spot in Nilsar on the basis of his disclosure. The recovery was made in the presence of the Executive Magistrate 1st Class, Wagoora, and independent witnesses.
The recovered property comprised 53 copper utensils.
Further investigation revealed the alleged involvement of another person, identified as Syed Aqib Shah, son of Mohammad Amin Shah, a resident of Takiya Yousuf Shah.
Both accused have been arrested and further investigation in the case is underway, police said.
