SRINAGAR: A Tata Mobile vehicle (JK13H 2006) loaded with vegetable goods from Udhampur met with a horrific accident on NH-44 near Digdool, Ramban, plunging into a deep gorge.
Both occupants of the vehicle lost their lives in the accident. The victims have been identified as Seva Singh and the driver, Irshad Ahmed, both residents of the Ukhral area, an official said.
Rescue teams comprising police, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and the civil Quick Response Team (QRT) swiftly reached the scene. The rescue operation has been completed, and the bodies have been recovered, the official added.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident. (KB)
