An accident took place on highway at Chottipora Handwara in which 20-years old Mohammad Saleem Najar son of Mohammad Sultan Nagar resident of Kargam died on spot and another person Ghulam Mohammad Najar son of Abdul Rahim Najar resident of Kargam was injured seriously. Later on, the injured also succumbed to his injuries. The bodies of both the persons were handed over to their next of kin for last rites. According to police statement it has registered a case in this regard.
The police statement said that a truck bearing registration number JK13/8252 driven by Farooq Ahmad Padder son of Manawar resident of Bushroo hit a Motorcycle bearing registration numberJK03B/5368, resulting in injuries to motorcyclist Abdul Salam Najar son of Abdul Khaliq resident of Bugam and Mohammad Salam Ganie son of Mohammad Akbar resident of Behbrada Yaripora Kulgam. Both the injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment.
A tata 407 bearing registration number JK03B/5145 hit a motorcycle bearing registration number JK03A/2584 at Guffan, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Behi Bagh Yaripora, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist Tariq Ahmad Shah son of Abdul Rashid Shah resident of Deerpora and another person Showkat Ahmad Khan son of Mohammad Yaqoob resident of Rakhbrah, Islamabad. Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.
A School bus bearing registration number JK03A/7109 of SSM Educational Institute, Dooru turned turtle at village Khahgund Qazigund, resulting in injuries to a student Momin Gulzar son of Gulzar Ahmad Bhat resident of Lower Munda. The injured has been shifted to hospital for treatment.
A truck bearing registration number JK03/5583 collided with a Maruti Car bearing registration number JK01R/6836 on Highway, near Barsoo, resulting in injuries to 26 years old Sameer Ahmad Rather son of Manzoor Ahmad resident Wayan and Tufail Ahmad Chatta son of Manzoor Ahmad resident of Lal Bazaar Srinagar. Both the injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment.
A tata 407 bearing registration number JK01F/1957 hit an auto bearing registration number JK01G/6204 near Tagore hall Iqbal Park, Srinagar resulting in injuries to the auto driver Mohammad Shafi Wani son of Mohammad Yousuf resident of Chattergam, Budgam. The injured has been shifted to hospital for treatment.
A traller bearing registration number PB07Y/9491 driven by Ramesh Paul son of Neelash Ram resident of Butynana Rajpora, Punjab hit a motorcyclist Ishraq Ahmad son of late Abdul Qayoom Bhat resident of Bushoo Pattan near Bulgam crossing on Highway, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist and pillion. Both the injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment.
