Jammu and Kashmir Police said two drug peddlers were booked under the Public Safety Act in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
A police spokesman in a statement said, “Police in Budgam booked 02 notorious drug peddlers under Public Safety Act after obtaining sanctions from the concerned authorities.”
“They have been identified as Hilal Ahmad Mir @ Hilal Galwan and Arif Nabi Mochi @ Kuka, both residents of Mazhama Magam,” he said.
“Budgam police had earlier recovered huge quantity of banned drugs from them and were booked under NDPS Act. They were also involved in selling banned drugs to youth of the area and were posing a great threat to future generations by way of making youth drug addicts,” said a police spokesman in a statement.
