Two Former Jammu Kashmir-Cadre IPS Officers Among Six Promoted to Special DG Rank

   

SRINAGAR: Two IPS officers of the erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir cadre, Rajesh Kumar and Satish Shriramaji Khandare, are among six 1995-batch IPS officers promoted by the Centre to the rank of Special Director General.

Kumar, presently serving as Additional Director General in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), has been elevated to Special DG, while Khandare, an Additional Director General in the Border Security Force (BSF), has also been promoted to the same rank.

The Centre has promoted six 1995-batch IPS officers serving in senior positions in the Central Armed Police Forces and the Intelligence Bureau.

In the CRPF, ADG Sandeep Khirwar has also been promoted as Special DG.

The BSF has elevated ADG Puneet Rastogi along with Khandare to the Special DG rank.

In the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), ADG Padmakar Ranipse has been promoted as Special DG, while Intelligence Bureau Additional Director Jag Mohan has been elevated to the rank of Special Director.

The promotions cover officers serving in key senior positions across the country’s central security and intelligence organisations.
