SRINAGAR: Two Kupwara residents have been arrested along with arms and ammunition in the Bemina area of Srinagar on Wednesday morning, officials said here.
Quoting an official, KNO reported that the duo was arrested during a routine check around Bemina Bypass near Lal Petrol Station on Wednesday morning.
“They have been identified as Mumtaz Ahmad Lone (38) S/o Gh Qadir Lone and Jahangir Ahmad Lone (29) S/o Gh Mohiddin Lone—both residents of Trehgam, Kupwara,” official added.
“\He further said, “Two pistols, six empty magazines and ten grenades were also recovered from their possession. A case FIR no 128/2023 under sections 7/25 of the Arms Act and 13, 18, 23, 39 of the UAPA has been registered,” he said.
