SRINAGAR: Two Kashmiri journalists, Majid Maqbool and Syed Shahriyar have won RedInk Awards 2021 by Mumbai Press Club on Wednesday.

Multimedia journalist Syed Shahriyar was jointly given the RedInk Award along with Tridip Mandal for the category of Human Rights (TV) story, ’My Life In Kashmir’- A Year Since The Abrogation of Article 370, done for The Quint.

Majid Maqbool was the joint winner for the category of The Arts along with journalist Mehtab Alam. Maqbool had written the story for Mint Lounge while Alam had done a story for The Wire.

The awards were presented virtually by Chief Justice of India, NV Ramana.

The RedInk Awards for Excellence in Journalism, organised by the Mumbai Press Club, are in their 10th year now. They are the only set of awards that extend peer recognition, backed by stakeholders, sponsors and participants.
