SRINAGAR: Two people were killed and several others injured after a minibus overturned near the Bakkal Tunnel in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, officials said.
The accident occurred in the morning when the minibus was travelling from Bakkal towards Reasi and overturned near the tunnel, leaving several passengers injured.
Police and local residents rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation. The injured were subsequently shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
According to officials, one passenger died at the scene, while another critically injured passenger succumbed to injuries while being taken to hospital.
Two of the injured passengers were later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, for further treatment.
