SRINAGAR: Security forces arrested two terror associates and recovered arms and ammunition, including two AK-47 rifles, in the Lower Munda area of Qazigund in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, officials said.
An official told the news agency Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the arrests were made during a naka checking at Gulab Bagh near the Lower Munda area of Qazigund.
The recovered items include two AK-47 rifles, four magazines, and several rounds of ammunition.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, son of Rashid Bhat of Nipora, and Altaf Ahmad Lone, son of Abdul Ahad Lone of Teesan Kachpora Zadoora.
A case has been registered, and further investigations are underway, the official said. (KNO)
