SRINAGAR: Two militants were killed in an encounter with counter-insurgent forces at Warpora area of Sopore town in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday.
An official said that two militants were killed so far in the ongoing encounter at Warpora area of Sopore.
He identified one of the slain militant as Fayaz Ahmad War.
The identity and the affiliation of the another slain militant could not be ascertained immediately.
Earlier, a police spokesman said a gunfight broke out between militants and forces at Warpora area of Sopore.
