Two school children are reported to have lost their lives this evening when an area was hit by a cloud burst took and one student is still missing besides huge loss to the property in Kothri Batote.
According to the reports reaching here, the three students were going back to home from school and all of a sudden cloud burst took place and all the three washed away in the Nallah.
DIG Police Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban range, Nisar Ahmed, told this correspondent that two dead bodied have been recovered so far, and one student is still missing.
Police local people of the area and para military forces are on the job to trace out the other student but still no success has been made.
He further said that rain water has entered the residential houses and has caused huge losses to the property and residential houses. Rain water has also entered in to shops in main market Batote.
Senior officials from local administration have visited the main market of Batote and other affected areas of Batote.
Those whose dead bodies have been recovered from the nallah were identified as Rakesh Kumar (13), son of Satish Kumar, r/o Ladhuwal Ramban and Shivali Devi (5), daughter of
Hans Raj, r/o Bagoo Nallah Batote while as Payilo Devi (8), daughter of Raj Kumar, r/o Brathal Thopal Ramban.
