Two teachers at Upper primary school Gujjarpati Sogam in Lolab area of north Kashmir were placed under suspension for being absent from past three months, sources said on Tuesday.

They said that the teachers Intihar Rashid Khan and Syed Nasrullah Andrabi have continuously remained absent from August this year.

The School lies a stone’s throw from Office of Zonal Education Sogam. Acting on the information today, ZEO Sogam inspected the Government Upper Primary School Gojarpati Mohallah and found the two teachers absent from duties without authorization.

Confirming it, the ZEO concerned said that he has also sought an explanation from the teachers. (GNS)
