SRINAGAR: Two militants affiliated to the Resistance Front (TRF) were killed in a brief shootout in Zakura area of Srinagar on Saturday, police said.
An official said that two militants were killed in the encounter at Zakura area of Srinagar.
He said that one of the slain militant identified as Ikhlaq Hajam was involved in recent killing of HC Ali Mohd at Hassanpora Anantnag.

He added that incriminating materials including two pistols were recovered from the slain militants.
Earlier, a police spokesman said a gunfight broke out between militants and forces at Zakura area of Srinagar.
