UAE President Calls PM Modi, Discusses Strategic Ties And West Asia

   

SRINAGAR: UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the phone on Friday and conveyed his birthday greetings.

During the conversation, the two leaders discussed steps to further strengthen the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, with a focus on energy, defence, technology, investment and health.

Sheikh Mohamed also congratulated Modi on India’s successful BRICS Presidency. Modi thanked the UAE President for the participation of Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in the BRICS Summit and appreciated the UAE’s cooperation in helping India achieve substantive outcomes during its presidency.

The two leaders also exchanged views on developments in West Asia and reaffirmed their commitment to continued cooperation and coordination to promote peace, security and stability in the region.

The call comes as India and the UAE continue to expand cooperation across strategic and economic sectors.
